Dr. Elkin believes that mind, body, and spirit are intertwined, and thus she uses a holistic approach in dealing with life's problems.
She finds hypnosis to be a valuable tool for individuals wanting to change self-defeating and addictive behavior. She acts as a "coach" to executives and professionals helping them to clarify and achieve their goals, thereby obtaining balance in their lives. She conducts Communication Skills workshops for corporation and businesses. Her For Your Life Seminars deal with The Weight Game, I Think I'm Having Stress, Smoking Cessation, and From Blue Funk to In The Pink.
Her Happy Heart Program has not only assisted many individuals to make necessary changes to prevent heart disease, but also to deal with post-operative cardiac issues.
Since Dr. Elkin finds that many individuals are facing the turmoil of losing parent, she started a support group for adult children whose parents are ill or who have died. In addition, she leads groups fro people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and for individuals testing positive for the HIV Virus. She also treats family members who have difficulty adjusting to their children's non-traditional lifestyle.
